Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores in Milwaukie, OR is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with daily store activities, help customers, and ensure merchandise moves smoothly from delivery to floor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Store management experience in retail or grocery environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment and provide customer service excellence.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day store activities and functions.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and maintain store displays and promotional fixtures.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged items, and handling payroll/scheduling where applicable.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom, following company standards.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash, and adhere to safety policies and procedures.
• Support Store Manager in training and developing Store Associates and maintaining a positive environment.
