Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of Virginia LLC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. The role involves assisting with daily store activities, organizing merchandise, and ensuring store standards are met.

You will help supervise, train, and develop Store Associates, maintain a clean, safe environment, and uphold company policies while delivering strong customer service and managing merchandise and payroll-related tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Provide positive customer service and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise between delivery, stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Maintain promotional displays and stockroom organization.
• Assist in ordering merchandise and loss prevention activities.
• Support payroll, scheduling, cash handling, and record keeping.
• Supervise, train, and develop store associates with the store manager.
