Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of Virginia LLC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with day-to-day activities, help customers, and ensure merchandise moves smoothly from delivery to sales floor.

Responsibilities include opening/closing, processing directives, maintaining displays, and supporting payroll, scheduling and cash handling.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in retail, grocery, or drug store management preferred.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical store tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Assist in organizing merchandise from delivery to sales floor and stockroom.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain promotional displays and store fixtures for effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, handling damaged goods, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom.
