Job summary

O’Reilly Auto Parts in York, ME is seeking a Store Team Leader to supervise customer service and store operations. You will work with the store manager to ensure staffing, performance, and daily execution of service programs for retail and professional customers.

The role emphasizes coaching, hiring support, and maintaining high standards of customer care, merchandise invoicing, and efficient store processes. Strong multilingual ability is a plus; several certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Sales Specialist Training required or preferred.
• Assistant Manager Certification desired.
• RSS Certification preferred.
• Certified Parts Professional Certification (Desired).
• ASE Certification (Desired).
• Fluency in multiple languages, especially Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Lead store team members in delivering excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
• Supervise showroom customer service levels and implement service programs (Related sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, Rock the Lot, etc…).
• Ensure the retail counter is staffed during peak hours (lunch, late-afternoons, evenings, weekends).
• Assist the store manager with setting team goals, providing feedback, coaching, and training.
• Assist in recruiting tasks, scheduling and interviewing, and selecting qualified team members.
• Answer the telephone according to company policy.
• Process buy online/ship to store, hub and store transfers, and DC add orders promptly and contact customers on shipment arrivals.
• Use electronic outside PO ledger to handle special orders and outside purchases efficiently.
• Process returns and exchanges efficiently; issue refunds using correct payment methods.
• Ensure all merchandise including core charges and warranties is invoiced before leaving the store.
• Communicate Zipline messages and delegate merchandising tasks.
• Ensure adherence to schedule and clock-in/out requirements.
• Perform store opening/closing duties, day-end procedures, money handling, deposits, and securing the building.
• Maintain store exterior and equipment, and manage delivery vehicles.
• All other duties as assigned.
