Job summary

Total Wine & More in Novi, MI is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to grow the brand by delivering best-in-class service and a distinctive world of adult beverages for our customers. You will support store operations and help build a sales and service culture to expand our customer base and maximize profitability.

Internally, you will be referred to as Assistant Manager and report to the Store Manager. You will drive sales and deliver against key performance metrics, assist in recruiting,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• 1–3 years of work experience; 2+ years in a managerial or supervisory role in retail.
• Experience leading, motivating, and developing a sales-focused team.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and inventory management software.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales and deliver against key performance metrics (KPMs).
• Assist in recruiting, training, and leading store team, including ongoing development to enhance product knowledge and sales skills.
• Support day-to-day operations, including payroll, inventory, merchandising and shrink.
• Deliver outstanding customer service by leading by example and resolving issues.
• Maintain vendor relationships to support store and inventory objectives.
• Ensure adherence to laws and regulations related to alcohol sales and maintain a safe store environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
