Job summary

TrailersPlus in Baton Rouge, LA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to lead daily store operations while driving revenue and delivering top-tier customer service.

You will work with the Store Manager, oversee inventory, repair operations, and staff training, and step in to run the store in the Manager's absence. This full-time role requires hands-on leadership and strong communication to ensure safety, compliance, and peak performance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 6 months to 1 year of related retail, sales, or lot management experience.
• Strong computer literacy for invoices, inventory, and compliance paperwork.
• Ability to read safety manuals and procedures.
• Spanish language ability is a plus.
• Ability to obtain state and city vehicle sales licenses.

Responsibilities

• Sales & Customer Service: help meet revenue goals, generate local leads, guide buyers through trailer purchases.
• Operations & Inventory: oversee trailer inspections, parts inventory, purchases, vendor relations, and facility maintenance.
• Paperwork & Compliance: ensure accurate invoicing and submission of sales and title paperwork to agencies.
• Team Leadership & Service Supervision: onboard, train, and manage staff; direct daily shop schedules.
• Hands-On Equipment Operation: safely operate power tools, welding equipment, forklifts, and tractors.
