Dollar Tree Stores in Baton Rouge, LA seeks an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with daily store activities, help customers, and manage merchandise flow from delivery to floor.

The role requires strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills, with a focus on a safe, clean, and welcoming environment. Retail/store management experience is preferred; HS diploma required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain directives is required
• Store management experience in retail or grocery is preferred
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required
• Exceptional customer service and organizational skills are required

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor
• Perform opening and closing procedures
• Maintain fixtures and promotional displays
• Assist in ordering merchandise and loss prevention
• Maintain clean, well-stocked store and stockroom
• Protect company assets including cash
• Supervise and develop Store Associates
• Ensure a safe, respectful environment with professional interactions
