Job summary

Goodwill Lakewood is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to lead retail supervisors and hourly staff in a fast-paced store. You will drive operations, customer experience, and inventory control while partnering with the Store Manager to reach sales and service goals.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• 3+ years related experience in retail supervision or management with proven incremental supervisory advancement.
• Exceptional analytical, judgment, decision-making and communications skills.
• Superior coaching, leadership and interpersonal skills, including the ability to build understanding and consensus.

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager in achieving operational, financial, and customer service objectives within the retail environment.
• Perform all store opening and closing procedures and responsibilities.
• Provide daily leadership and oversight of retail operations to ensure efficient store performance and a positive customer experience.
• Maximize sales through proper stock rotation, merchandising, signage, and inventory levels of new and used goods.
• Lead inventory processes and audits, including semi-annual cycles.
• Monitor payroll expenses and maintain payroll records and timekeeping.
• Oversee supply ordering and inventory management to support retail operations.
• Delegate work and supervise retail staff to ensure efficient operations.
