Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development in Denison, TX. You will assist with daily store activities, merchandise flow, payroll, scheduling, and loss prevention while maintaining clean, safe, and engaging storefronts.

The role emphasizes strong communication and leadership in a fast-paced retail setting, with opportunities to train and develop store associates and ensure exceptional customer experiences.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physical duties.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Maintain tidy store areas and secure store assets.
• Ensure safety policies and proper procedures are followed.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe environment with friendly interactions.
