Job summary

Dollar Tree seeks an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with daily store activities and help organize, stock and present merchandise.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas
• Perform opening and closing procedures
• Process corporate directives related to store activities
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store-front fixtures and displays
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping including payroll, scheduling, and cash handling
• Maintain well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines; ensure staff follow policies
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates
• Ensure a positive, safe and respectful environment with customers and staff
• Maintain cleanliness of the store including bathrooms and floors
• Other duties as assigned*
