Job summary

Dollar Tree in Savannah, GA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help run daily store operations, deliver excellent customer service, and develop the store team. You will assist with merchandising, staffing, opening/closing procedures, and adherence to company policies.

The role requires strong communication and organizational skills, physical stamina for store duties, and the ability to lead a high-energy team in a fast-paced retail environment. Part-time position with flexible schedules.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred; ability to read and interpret directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physical store duties.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers with questions in a friendly manner.
• Organize merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain promotional displays and fixtures.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, payroll, scheduling, and cash deposits.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked store areas.
• Protect store assets including cash.
• Enforce policies and safety guidelines.
• Help Store Manager supervise and develop store associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe environment for customers and staff.
• Keep bathrooms and floors clean; restock as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
