Job summary

Dollar Tree in Jesup, GA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help oversee store operations, deliver outstanding customer service, and develop a high-performing team. You will assist with daily routines, supervise associates, and ensure store standards are maintained.

You will support opening and closing, payroll and scheduling records, merchandise flow, loss prevention, and compliance with corporate directives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional displays and fixtures.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to policies and procedures including safety guidelines and ensure staff compliance.
• Support Store Manager in training and developing Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Maintain store cleanliness and restocking of bathrooms and floors.
• Other duties as assigned.
