Family Dollar Stores Of Texas LLC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily operations, customer service, and team development at our Mesquite, TX location. The role involves assisting with store functions, merchandising, and staff supervision to ensure a positive shopping experience.

The ideal candidate has store management experience in retail, excellent communication skills, and the physical ability to lift up to 55 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required
• Team-oriented with ability to train and develop store associates

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions
• Manage merchandise flow from delivery to stockroom to sales floor
• Perform opening and closing procedures
• Process corporate directives and store communications
• Maintain store displays and promotional effectiveness
• Assist in ordering, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling
• Maintain clean, organized store areas and secure assets
• Ensure compliance with policies, safety guidelines, and procedures
• Support Store Manager in training and developing store associates
• Maintain a positive, safe, respectful environment for customers and staff
• Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, floors, and general areas
• Other duties as assigned
