Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Panama City Beach to support store operations, customer service, and team development.

This role involves assisting with daily store activities, organizing merchandise, handling shipments, and ensuring store standards and safety policies are followed. You will help train staff and maintain a welcoming, efficient shopping environment for customers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional displays and store-front fixtures.
• Assist in ordering merchandise and handling damaged goods; manage payroll, scheduling, and deposits.
• Maintain a clean, stocked, and well-presented store and protect assets.
• Supervise, train, and develop store associates to ensure a positive work environment.
