Job summary

Family Dollar in Shenandoah, PA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help run daily store operations, assist customers, and develop the team. You will oversee opening and closing duties, support merchandising, scheduling, and loss prevention while upholding store standards.

You’ll work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment, train and guide associates, and ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming shopping experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Store management experience in retail/grocery preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical store duties.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills essential.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize and transfer merchandise between delivery, stockroom, and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Support payroll, scheduling, cash handling, and loss prevention.
