Job summary

Family Dollar in Montrose, PA seeks an Assistant Store Manager to assist with store operations, customer service and team development. You will help with merchandise, daily activities, and staff supervision to maintain a welcoming store.

Responsibilities include opening/closing, payroll scheduling, loss prevention, and ensuring a clean, well-stocked environment while upholding company policies and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred and reading/interpretation of directives is required.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment and provide customer service excellence.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Process corporate directives and communicate store activities.
• Maintain store fixtures and displays; ensure promotional effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, payroll/scheduling, and cash handling; loss prevention.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked store and secure assets; follow safety policies.
• Support Store Manager in supervising and developing Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe environment with professional interactions with customers and staff.
• Keep store clean, restocked bathrooms, floors swept/mopped, trash managed.
