Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of Mississippi LLC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development in our Mississippi location. You will assist with day-to-day store activities, help customers, organize merchandise, and supervise associates to maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret operational directives.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address any questions or concerns they may have.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor as needed and ensure seasonal areas are maintained.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store-front fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping and loss prevention.
• Maintain areas of the store, including a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom, to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to policies and procedures including safety guidelines and ensure all associates follow them.
• Help the Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, and trash removal.
• Carry out other duties as assigned.
