Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of Mississippi LLC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development. The role involves assisting with daily store activities, helping customers, organizing merchandise transfers from delivery to stockroom to sales floor, and supporting opening/closing procedures.

The position requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, a high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to lift up to 55 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physical duties including walking, standing, bending, and climbing.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for storefronts.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash.
• Ensure adherence to policies, safety guidelines, and procedures.
