Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of Mississippi LLC in Gulfport is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help oversee daily store operations, deliver exceptional customer service, and actively develop the store team to meet company standards.

You will assist with merchandising and inventory, schedule and payroll tasks, open/close procedures, loss prevention, safety compliance, and ensure a clean, well-stocked sales floor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read and explain directives.
• Store management experience in retail or grocery preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical store tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy team environment.
• Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner.
• Support merchandising, stock transfer and seasonal displays.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Support payroll, scheduling, and cash handling records.
