Job summary

Family Dollar in Brandon, MS is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help with store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with day-to-day functions, organize merchandise, and support the Store Manager in supervising associates to ensure a positive shopping environment.

You will oversee opening/closing procedures, protect assets, and ensure policy compliance. Strong communication and hands-on leadership are essential for maintaining a well-stocked, clean, and safe

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physical duties as needed.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day store activities and operations.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Assist in merchandise movement from delivery to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process directives and maintain displays and promotions.
• Assist with payroll, scheduling, cash deposits, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked, clean store and secure assets.
• Support Store Manager in training and developing Store Associates.
• Ensure a safe, respectful environment and adherence to policies.
