Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of Mississippi LLC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, customer service, and team development. The role involves assisting with merchandising, inventory, payroll, and loss prevention while ensuring a clean and safe shopping environment.

The candidate should have strong communication and interpersonal skills, retail experience preferred, and the ability to lead a small team in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Retail, grocery, or drug store experience is beneficial.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain store fixtures and displays and ensure promotional effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, handling damaged goods, payroll/scheduling, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines and train store associates as needed.
• Supervise, train, and develop Store Associates while maintaining a respectful environment.
• Support a safe, friendly customer experience and professional interactions.
