Family Dollar Stores Of Mississippi LLC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development in Brandon, MS. You will assist with daily activities, merchandise flow, and staff supervision to ensure a high-energy, customer-focused environment.

The role emphasizes teamwork, strong communication, and practical problem-solving to maintain store standards, safety, and profitability in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and meet demands of frequent movement.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional displays and fixtures for effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, and loss prevention.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked store and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Enforce policies and safety guidelines among store associates.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
