Job summary

Family Dollar in Moss Point, MS is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with opening/closing, merchandising, and enforcing store policies while helping supervise and train associates.

The role emphasizes strong communication, safety, and the ability to organize inventory and maintain a clean, customer-friendly environment. Part-time hours and flexible scheduling are available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environments is preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day store activities and operations.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise between delivery truck, stockroom, and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Maintain store areas, promotions, and fixtures to company standards.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping, and loss prevention.
• Support store manager in training, supervision, and development of associates.
