Family Dollar is looking for an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, assist customers, and help develop the store team. You will oversee tasks from merchandising to opening/closing procedures while ensuring policy compliance and a positive work environment.

The role emphasizes accuracy in record-keeping, loss prevention, and staff supervision. A strong service mindset and ability to work in a fast-paced retail setting are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; ability to read and interpret directives.
• Store management experience in retail or grocery setting preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills expected.
• Ability to work in a high-energy team environment and maintain security of assets.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize merchandise and maintain seasonal areas on the floor and stockroom.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and maintain displays and promotions.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, handling damaged items, and record-keeping.
• Maintain clean, stocked, and organized store areas; protect store assets.
• Supervise, train and develop store associates; ensure safety and compliance.
