Job summary

Dollar Tree in Cuba, MO is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, drive customer service excellence, and develop team members. You’ll help with merchandising, openings/closes, payroll and scheduling, and maintaining shop standards.

The role emphasizes high-energy teamwork, safety, and hands-on leadership to ensure a positive store atmosphere and reliable execution of corporate directives.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent and ability to read and explain directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug stores preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and written skills.
• Must work well in a high-energy team with exceptional customer service.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day store operations and staff development.
• Provide helpful, positive customer service and address questions.
• Organize merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor.
• Execute opening and closing procedures.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering, handling damaged goods, payroll and scheduling.
• Keep store areas stocked, clean and organized.
• Protect store assets and cash; follow safety policies.
• Support Store Manager in training and supervising associates.
• Maintain a clean, safe, respectful store environment.
• Other duties as assigned.
