Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED plus 2 years of relevant retail experience.
• Associate or Bachelor's degree in business or related field desirable.

Responsibilities

• Acts as Manager on Duty in the absence of Store Manager, performing all necessary functions for successful store operation.
• Executes weekly and seasonal merchandising plans for each department, while ensuring price accuracy, to achieve sales goals; manages inventory, CGO, and supply to meet customer demands and gross profit goals.
• Drives engagement by communicating with customers and providing feedback to associates; trains and develops associates to resolve customer issues promptly and effectively; conducts daily huddles with associates.
• Reviews department schedules to meet business needs while achieving payroll and sales-per-labor-hour goals; oversees work assignments and compliance with labor laws.
• Oversees procedures for receiving, pricing, freshness, quality, rotation; maintains logs per policy; enforces price accuracy and weights and measures laws.
• Executes training programs to enhance department management and associate knowledge; identifies and develops associates for advancement; monitors competitors’ activity.
• Performs daily store walks to identify opportunities and provide direction to associates and customers.
