Job summary

The Assistant Store Manager at Weis Markets leads daily store operations, drives sales, and manages department performance. You will execute merchandising plans, monitor inventory, and oversee payroll and safety standards to ensure store profitability.

You will train and develop associates, conduct daily huddles, and engage with customers to resolve issues promptly while maintaining company policies and compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirement of a high school education or GED and two years of relevant retail experience.
• Associate or bachelor's degree in business or related field desirable.

Responsibilities

• Acts as Manager on Duty in the absence of Store Manager.
• Executes weekly and seasonal merchandising plans with price accuracy to meet sales goals.
• Oversees inventory, CGO and replenishment to meet customer demand and profit goals.
• Drives engagement by communicating with customers and training associates to resolve issues promptly.
• Reviews department schedules to meet business needs while controlling payroll and labor costs.
• Ensures compliance with labor laws, sanitation standards, and safety guidelines.
• Performs daily store walks to identify opportunities and ensure smooth operations.

Education
