Job summary

Family Dollar in Montgomery, AL is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help run daily store operations, elevate customer service, and develop the store team. You will assist with merchandising, payroll, scheduling, and loss prevention while maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming store environment.

Ideal candidates have prior retail management experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to train and motivate associates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in retail management preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and regular walking/standing.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Provide excellent customer service and address questions.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Support payroll, scheduling, and cash handling responsibilities.
• Maintain clean, stocked, and presentable store areas.
