Job summary

Dollar Tree in Akron, OH is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to join our team and support store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with day-to-day store activities and help customers in a positive, approachable manner.

Responsibilities include organizing merchandise, maintaining stockrooms and sales floors while upholding policies, safety guidelines and promotional displays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read, interpret and explain operational directives.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain store fixtures and displays for promotional effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged items, record keeping, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines; ensure staff follow procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness including bathrooms, floors, trash, and neat presentation.
• Other duties as assigned.
