Job summary

Dollar Tree in Stockton, CA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help with store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with daily store activities, support customers, organize merchandise, and help with opening and closing procedures.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, store management experience, strong communication and teamwork, and the ability to lift up to 55 lbs. This position is on site in Stockton, CA.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process all corporate directives related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store-front fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping (payroll, scheduling, cash deposits/receipts), and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked, clean store and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including cash.
• Adhere to policies including safety guidelines and ensure associates follow procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Foster a positive, safe, respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Keep store areas neat, including bathrooms, floors, and trash disposal.
