Job summary

Bath & Body Works is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to partner with the Store Manager in developing outstanding associates, delivering exceptional customer experiences, and driving growth across the store. You will be the front line of leadership, focusing on coaching, operations, and selling excellence.

You will lead with a customer-first mindset, manage performance, and ensure daily execution of store standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering sales, customer experience, and operational results in a fast-paced environment.
• Prior experience in a manager role, preferably in a retail setting.
• Thrives in a customer-first based retail environment.
• Ability to foster a customer-focused selling culture.
• Effective communication, open to feedback, and quick to adapt.
• Ability to provide on-the-spot coaching to associates.
• Ability to de-escalate store and customer situations effectively.
• Availability for varied shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Attract, hire, develop, inspire, and retain top talent.
• Set and reinforce clear performance expectations and goals.
• Act as Manager on Duty when scheduled to address operations and customer issues.
• Partner with Sales Leadership to support action plans and execution.
• Implement floorset direction to showcase the product story.
• Perform opening/closing routines, deposits, and shipment receipt.
• Set daily direction and goals for the team.
• Provide performance feedback and recommendations to managers.
• Meet payroll targets with appropriate selling floor coverage.
• Lead in-store customer experiences through selling behaviors and product knowledge.
• Create connections with customers through uncovering needs and personalized recommendations.
• Train, coach, reward, and motivate associates to improve selling and service.
• Reinforce selling expectations and accountability across the team.
