Job summary

Caleres in Biddeford, ME seeks an Assistant Store Manager to lead the team in the Store Manager’s absence, delivering a best shoe store experience for every customer. You will motivate staff, drive sales, and oversee daily operations to keep our brands looking sharp and selling well.

You’ll coach and develop associates, uphold store standards, and help foster an inclusive, high-energy culture focused on customer service and results.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of retail sales experience preferred.
• Experience interviewing, hiring, and training individuals.
• Ability to lead, motivate, and communicate effectively with store associates.
• Strong customer service and operational skills.
• Ability to analyze basic store metrics and staffing needs.

Responsibilities

• Inspire customer connections and foster a culture of caring and camaraderie.
• Lead store operations in absence of Store Manager, including staffing and scheduling.
