Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development in DeWitt, Iowa. You will assist with daily store activities, help customers, and oversee merchandise flow from delivery to floor.

A strong focus on customer experience and teamwork is essential. The role requires strong communication and leadership skills, with experience in retail management being preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read and explain operational directives.
• Retail store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and handle standing, walking, stooping, and other physical demands.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Supervise, train, and develop Store Associates under the Store Manager.
