Dollar Tree in Council Bluffs, IA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help with daily store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with store functions, help customers, organize merchandise, and perform opening and closing procedures.

You’ll support store associates, ensure compliance with policies, maintain a clean, safe, well-stocked sales floor and back room, prepare reports, and assist with payroll, scheduling, and cash handling as needed.

Qualifications

• Store management experience in retail or grocery environments.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to train and develop store associates.
• Experience with inventory and loss prevention processes.
• Proficiency in cash handling and basic record-keeping.

Responsabilités

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize, and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional displays and fixtures; ensure storefront effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll/scheduling, and cash deposits/receipts; support loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines; ensure staff compliance.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a safe, respectful environment with professional interactions with customers and staff.
• Maintain store cleanliness (bathrooms, floors, trash) and restocking; keep areas neat.
• Other duties as assigned.
