Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores in Des Moines is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help run daily store operations, assist customers, and develop the store team. The role requires strong communication and leadership to uphold Dollar Tree standards.

In this role you will participate in opening/closing, organize merchandise, support payroll and scheduling, and uphold safety and loss-prevention standards while maintaining a clean, well-stocked store and positive work environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills required.
• Strong customer service and teamwork abilities.
• Must adhere to safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers and address questions or concerns.
• Organize merchandise and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Process directives and maintain fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Maintain clean, stocked store and secure assets.
• Support Store Manager in training staff.
• Foster a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and associates.
