Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores in Lawrence Township, NJ is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help with store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with day-to-day store activities, support a high-energy sales floor, and help train and supervise store associates.

Qualifications include a high school diploma and strong communication skills; prior store management experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, cash deposits/receipts, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure store assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines and ensure associates follow them.
• Help the Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Ensure store cleanliness, including bathrooms, floors, trash, and overall neatness.
