Job summary

O'Reilly Auto Parts is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in sales, customer service, store appearance and operations. This role will lead the team during the Store Manager’s absence and may work opposing shifts.

Qualifications

• Customer service excellence and leadership abilities are required.
• Multilingual abilities, especially Spanish, are highly valued.
• Certifications in Sales/Assistant Management enhance eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Lead the store team in delivering excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
• Supervise customer service levels and execute programs (Related sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, Rock the Lot).
• Ensure staffing for peak hours at the retail sales counter.
• Assist in goal setting, coaching, and training of team members.
• Assist in hiring processes including interviews and candidate evaluation.
• Ensure timely processing of buy online/ship to store, transfers, and add orders.
• Manage outside orders and returns efficiently and accurately.
• Oversee opening/closing duties, security, and store maintenance.
• Ensure adherence to policies and proper scheduling and timekeeping.
