Job summary

Family Dollar seeks an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development at our Beckville, TX location. You will assist with daily store functions, train associates, and ensure a welcoming shopping environment.

Responsibilities include merchandising, scheduling, cash handling, inventory control, and compliance with company policies. The role requires strong communication and the ability to lead a high-energy team to meet targets and serve customers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Experience in retail management is a plus.
• Ability to read and explain operational directives.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Help organize, and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Maintain store areas, fixtures, displays, and cleanliness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, and cash deposits.
• Supervise and develop Store Associates under the Store Manager.
