Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of Texas LLC seeks an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development in Beckville, Texas. You’ll assist with daily activities, help customers, and ensure shelves and displays are well organized and compliant with company standards.

You will supervise and train store associates, participate in opening/closing, protect assets, and help implement corporate directives while maintaining a positive, safe work environment for customers

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physical tasks as needed.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Excellent customer service and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain storefront displays and promotional effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, handling damaged goods, payroll, scheduling, and cash deposits.
• Keep store areas well-stocked and clean; protect store assets, including cash.
• Ensure safety policies and procedures are followed; supervise and develop store associates.
• Create a positive, safe environment with professional interactions with customers and staff.
