Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. in Concord, CA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help run daily store operations, drive customer service, and develop the store team. You will supervise associates, assist with inventory, and ensure storefronts and backrooms meet company standards.

This role requires strong communication, ability to lift up to 55 lbs, and a proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You will open and close the store, follow directives, and help maintain a safe, friendly shopping

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent; ability to read directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Capable of lifting up to 55 lbs and performing frequent movements.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment and deliver customer service.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize and move merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Process corporate directives and related store communications.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged items, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling; support loss prevention.
• Keep store areas well-stocked and organized; protect store assets including cash.
• Enforce company policies; mentor store associates.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment; duties including bathrooms, floors, and trash.
• Other duties as assigned.
