Job summary

Dollar Tree in Springdale, AR seeks an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with daily activities, help customers, organize merchandise, and ensure displays meet brand standards.

The role includes opening/closing procedures, processing directives, payroll/scheduling, and loss prevention. You will supervise staff, maintain cleanliness, and uphold safety policies while delivering friendly service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; ability to read and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, and lifting.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Work well in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and related communications.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, process damaged merchandise, payroll/scheduling records, and loss prevention.
• Maintain tidy sales floor and stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to safety policies and ensure staff follow procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Keep store clean including restrooms, floors, trash, and general presentation.
• Other duties as assigned.
