Dollar Tree Stores INC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help with store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with day-to-day functions, support sales floor activities and ensure a positive shopping environment.

The role involves supervising store associates, implementing company directives, maintaining fixtures and inventory, and helping with opening and closing procedures to keep the store running smoothly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational and communication skills required.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize and transfer merchandise between delivery, stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain store fixtures and displays for promotional effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, payroll/scheduling, cash handling, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom.
• Protect company assets including cash and store property.
• Ensure compliance with policies, safety guidelines, and procedures.
• Support Store Manager in training and developing Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Ensure store areas are neat, clean and presentable; assist with sanitation of bathrooms and facilities.
