Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with day-to-day store activities, help customers, and ensure merchandise is organized and displays are maintained.

The role requires the ability to lift up to 55 lbs, strong communication, and collaborative work in a fast-paced environment. This part-time position may offer benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines; ensure staff follows procedures.
• Help the Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and professional environment with customers and staff.
• Keep the store clean, restocked, and presentable including bathrooms and floors.
• Other duties as assigned.
