Job summary

GPM Investments' Admiral-branded store in Traverse City seeks an Assistant Manager to lead daily operations and customer service across open availability shifts.

You'll train and supervise a team, manage scheduling, inventory, and cash handling, and step in as acting manager when needed. Weekly pay, bonus potential, and growth opportunities are offered in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Open availability required, including weekends, holidays, and likely 2nd/3rd shifts.
• Valid driver's license, access to a vehicle, and proof of insurance for deposits.
• Physical readiness for cleaning, trash, and pump maintenance.
• Minimum age 18 years old.
• English proficiency and basic math skills.
• Willing to learn and obtain Food Safety Certification.

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager in day-to-day operations.
• Run the register and assist customers with speed, accuracy, and a great attitude.
• Coach and motivate team to upsell products and promotions.
• Help hire, train, and lead a high-performing team.
• Step in as acting manager when the Store Manager is off.
• Handle inventory, ordering, and merchandising to keep the store fully stocked.
• Maintain a clean store, including restrooms and fuel pumps.
• Create and manage team schedules.
• Perform daily cash handling and deposits.
• Provide feedback and leadership to motivate the team.
• Other duties as assigned.
