Goodwill of Western and Northern Connecticut is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Stamford, CT to lead daily store operations and drive the mission. The role focuses on supervising staff, managing sales, and ensuring excellent customer service in a busy retail environment.

The ideal candidate will have prior management experience, strong people skills, and the ability to train donors and employees while upholding store policies and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent, preferably with Business/Marketing courses.
• Two years’ experience in a management/supervisory capacity or equivalent.
• Able to supervise shipping/receiving, stock, merchandising, cashiering and customer service.
• Availability to work day, evening, and weekend shifts; willing to travel/relocate.

Responsibilities

• Oversee store operations to meet revenue and budget goals; run store in the Store Manager's absence.
• Recruit and train retail staff; administer discipline as needed.
• Schedule staff to ensure customer service, display, security and cost control.
• Order merchandise to stock the store and manage sales data and deposits.
