StorageMart, a leading independent self-storage company, is hiring an Assistant Store Manager in New York, NY. The role focuses on daily operations, customer engagement, and helping the store achieve its sales goals.

You will support the Store Manager, deliver friendly service in person, over the phone, and by email, and handle tasks from rentals to billing while maintaining clean, well-organized facilities.

Qualifications

• Retail, sales, or customer service preferred (training provided!)
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
• Comfortable performing light maintenance and outdoor work
• Basic computer skills (email, data entry, and account management)

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager in daily operations, sales goals, and business growth
• Provide friendly and professional customer service in person, over the phone, and via email
• Open and close the office and perform light property maintenance and cleaning
• Assist customers with rentals, account setup, payments, and general inquiries
• Manage account records, billing, and collections
• Occasionally support nearby store locations to maintain consistent company standards
