Job summary

Bath & Body Works is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Virginia to partner with the Store Manager in developing outstanding associates, delivering exceptional customer experiences, and driving store growth. You will lead sales and daily operations while coaching teams to meet performance targets.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering sales, customer experience, and operational results in a fast-paced environment.
• Prior experience in a manager role, preferably in a retail setting.
• Thrives in a customer-first based retail environment.
• Ability to foster a customer-focused selling culture.
• Effective communication skills, being open to feedback, and the ability to adapt quickly.
• Ability to provide in-the-moment coaching to associates.
• Ability to de-escalate store and customer situations effectively.
• Must be available to work peak days and times, including varied shifts of evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Attract, hire, develop, inspire, and retain top talent.
• Set and reinforce clear performance expectations, results goals, and accountability with all associates.
• Act as Manager on Duty when scheduled to address customer experience and maintenance issues.
• Partner with Sales Leadership Team to support action plans and effective execution of operations.
• Implement floorset direction to optimize the business and product storytelling.
• Conduct opening/closing routines and payroll-aware scheduling.
• Lead daily direction and assign tasks for the shift.
• Provide feedback and coaching to managers and staff.
• Meet payroll targets with appropriate floor coverage and selling focus.
• Model selling behaviors and deliver outstanding in-store customer experiences.
• Build genuine connections with customers through needs-based recommendations.
• Train and motivate associates to improve selling and customer experience.
• Maintain safety, policies, and store appearance.
