Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in South Carolina to support the Store Manager, manage daily operations, and drive exceptional customer service. You will help maintain inventory, appearance, and daily paperwork, while training staff and supervising merchandising flow.

The role requires flexible, full-time availability, strong organizational skills, and the ability to lead a team in a fast-paced retail environment. Benefits are provided to eligible associates.

Qualifications

• Education: Prefer completion of high school or equivalent.
• Ability to read, interpret and explain to others operational directives (e.g., merchandise schematics).
• Experience: Prefer store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environments.

Responsibilities

• Greets and assists customers in a positive, approachable manner.
• Answers questions and resolves customer inquiries and concerns.
• Maintains a presence in the store by providing excellent customer service.
• Ensures a clean, well-stocked store for customers.
• Supervises, trains, and develops Store Associates on Family Dollar operating practices and procedures.
• Assists in unloading merchandise from delivery truck and transfers merchandise from stockroom to store.
• Assists Store Manager in ordering merchandise and record keeping including payroll, scheduling and cash handling.
