Job summary

Family Dollar is hiring in your neighborhood. As an Assistant Store Manager, you will support the Store Manager in daily operations, maintain inventories and store appearance, and ensure excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience: store management in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Physical: lift up to 40 lbs regularly; may lift up to 55 lbs.
• Availability: flexible full-time including days, evenings, weekends, holidays.
• Skills: customer focus, communication, problem solving, organization, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Greets and assists customers in a positive, approachable manner.
• Answers questions and resolves customer inquiries and concerns.
• Maintains a clean, well-stocked store for customers.
• Supervises, trains, and develops Store Associates on operating practices.
• Assists in unloading merchandise and transferring between stockroom and store.
• Assists Store Manager with ordering, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Supports loss prevention efforts and covers Store Manager when absent.
• Follows all Company policies and procedures.
