Job summary

MFA Petroleum Company operates Break Time convenience stores in Missouri. We are seeking Break Time Assistant Managers to help manage store operations in the Store Manager's absence, coach teammates, and assist with store finances.

You will deliver excellent customer service, oversee daily operations, merchandising, and training, while ensuring food safety and compliance. This role requires reliability, leadership, and the ability to work flexible shifts in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Availability to work all shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance with reliable transportation.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment.
• Works well individually and in leading a team.
• Ability to perform duties with accuracy and minimal supervision.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations for change and shift reports.
• Ability to pass pre-employment background check and drug test.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Working with customers to provide excellent service and encourage teamwork.
• Assist in day-to-day store operations, reporting, banking, inventory, and upkeep.
• Merchandise and execute promotions, price items, stock, and keep the store clean.
• Supervise shifts in the absence of the store manager and train new employees.
• Maintain timely, professional communication with customers, vendors, and staff.
• Understand store finances, control shortages, participate in audits, and meet sales goals.
• Support recruiting, coaching, and development of associates to improve performance.
• Operate POS and other technology to perform transactions and shift reports.
• Adhere to policies, perform other duties as assigned.
